SSAFA Norton House, Headley Court, Celebrated Its Fourth Anniversary On February 14th

The house, one of two homes-from-home run by SSAFA Forces Help, offers short-term accommodation to wounded service personnel and their families allowing them to spend quality time together away from the hospital environment.
Close to the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre in Surrey, it first opened in February 2008 and so far more than 360 injured servicemen and women have stayed at the house and some 1,200 people in total, including parents, siblings, children, grandparents, uncles and aunts.

The house aims to take the extra stress out of travelling to visit badly-injured loved ones and offers a secure, comfortable environment where families can begin to come to terms with life-changing injuries and look towards the future together.
A second home, SSAFA Norton House, Selly Oak, opened in 2009 and caters for families whose loved ones are being treated at the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
