Our vision is that we won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect. We would like to see parity of care for people with mental and physical illness and to de-stigmatise mental health conditions so people are not discriminated against.
Our mission is to intervene early to improve wellbeing and provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We work locally with our partners to improve services and increase awareness and accessibility.

Sheffield Mind provide a wide range of service to support people’s mental health, including support work, counselling and tenancy support. Our Keeping Families in Mind service provides one-to-one counselling and group work to adult relatives of serving military personnel, reservists and veterans across South Yorkshire. We host an annual family fun & information day for local armed forces families, we work closely with members of the South Yorkshire Armed Forces Covenant and we are active in developing and sustaining links that help Armed Forces Families access services and support more easily – for example WORKING CLOSELY WITH SSAFA South Yorkshire.
