BFBS Radio hosts festival weekend for the military community and their families and they get to decide the line-up…

We know that most of the Armed Forces and their families won’t get the opportunity to go to a festival this year, so on August Bank holiday weekend BFBS Radio will be bringing the festival to them.

From Friday 28 August at 7pm (UKT) until 10pm on Monday 31st August (UKT) BFBS Radio will be hosting BFBStival – a worldwide festival celebration across all its radio channels.

The weekend will feature Kiss FM DJ sets from globally recognised artists such as, Joel Corry, Craig David, Kygo, Roger Sanchez – to name but a few.

There will also be live sets from some of the biggest bands at Kendal Calling including, Stereophonics, Kaiser Chiefs, Chic, Charlatans, Elbow and many more.

As well as featuring some of the biggest names in the music industry, BFBS Radio is inviting the military community to put forward their own ‘Fantasy Festival line-up’, along with the reasons for their choices.

Each entry will be in with a chance of winning 12 months of Spotify Premium so they can enjoy their favourite music for hours in the comfort of their living room, car or garden!

All people need to do to enter the competition is email their suggested line-up to festival@bfbs.com before midday on Monday 24 August.  These entries will then make up part of BFBS Radio’s BFBStival weekend and the military community and their families can listen out for their festival line-up suggestions.

Simon Monk, Deputy Director Radio & Live Events, said:

“As the festival season has been cancelled, we’ve decided to bring the world’s biggest stars to the world’s best audience.

“BFBStival’s mix of fantastic live music, DJ sets and our listeners own Fantasy Festival suggestions will make for a memorable weekend all round for our Forces audience.”
