Eligibility

The Confederation of Service Charities exists for the benefit of its members. Applications are welcomed from charities and organisations that work to promote the welfare and general interests of the Armed Forces community.

New applications for membership must supply such information as is deemed necessary to inform a subjective assessment by the Head of Membership prior to recommendation to the Executive Committee. Acceptance is at the discretion of the Executive Committee alone. A phased approach is taken to new applications to join the Confederation and are considered on a quarterly basis.

Organisations will qualify for either Full or Associate status, dependent on the criteria into which the organisation fits, explained in Membership Application (Form 1) to which a link is provided below.  Associates of the Confederation will NOT hold any right to vote at the Cobseo AGM.

Apply for membership

To be considered for membership, first complete the Membership Application (Form 1) link shown below. Applications will be submitted to the Executive Committee on a quarterly basis.

NB Special additional criteria apply if the focus is of support to beneficiaries is clinical treatment or healthcare, or any type of therapeutic intervention. If this is so for the applicant organisation, first complete the Cobseo Guiding Principles for Mental Health (Form 2) and if relevant, also the Additional Criteria for Clinical Interventions (Form 3) below. In these cases, an assessment will also be made by the Medical Advisory Committee to Cobseo.

Membership Cost
