SWV Veteran Ambassador Andy Geoghegan, formerly of 3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment, is tackling three major open-water swims this summer to raise funds for fellow veterans.
Andy has already completed the Henley Thames 9-mile swim and the Beachy Head to Eastbourne swim. His final challenge—the gruelling 11-mile end-to-end of Lake Windermere—takes place on 6 September 2025, completing the Triple Crown Chill Swim (22 miles across Windermere, Ullswater and Coniston).
Having been supported by SWV with sport rehabilitation, counselling and mentoring, Andy is helping SWV in the best way he knows—through endurance and determination. He has already raised over £11,000, with all proceeds going help other veterans supported by SWV.
