Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) is proud to have been named Large Charity of the Year at the Kent Charity Awards, recognising the scale, ambition, and innovation behind our work to improve the lives of veterans and people with disabilities across the county.
This award celebrates the transformative impact of our projects, most notably the Centenary Village, RBLI’s £28 million capital development, which will deliver 100 homes for 100 veterans and their families. As a national exemplar of inclusive support, Centenary Village reflects our long-term commitment to housing, care, and community.
Through Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company (BBMC), our social enterprise employing disabled people and veterans across three UK sites, we continue to drive inclusive employment and deliver measurable social value. Our success is powered by partnerships with businesses across Kent, whose collaboration helps us turn ambition into action.
Lisa Farmer, Chief Executive of RBLI, said:
“This award is a testament to the scale of our vision and the strength of our partnerships. Together, we’re proving that social enterprise and community investment can change lives and build futures that last.”
We were honoured to be joined on the night by a number of valued partners and supporters, including representatives from Skanska, MidKent College, and Maidstone United, as well as members of our Board and wider network.
We thank the Kent Charity Awards for this recognition, and extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who continues to stand with us. Your support enables us to deliver lasting impact across Kent and beyond.
