Free suicide prevention training available for anyone who supports UK veterans

Free suicide prevention training available for anyone who supports UK veterans – this can be in a professional, voluntary or personal capacity.

The project has been kindly funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund.

There are three different levels of training available with a mixture of in-person and online options. We aim to support participants to recognise signs of suicide risk, build confidence in having supportive conversations, and know where to signpost veterans for further help.

You can find details on each of the trainings and sign up here:

The ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) on 3rd-4th November. Just for context, the ASIST level training is what we receive at PAPYRUS and the model it teaches is what our HOPELINE247 Suicide Prevention Advisers use. ESE: ASIST – Veterans – ASIST 1 | Papyrus The usual cost would be £200 per person but this is completely free to anyone supporting veterans.
