Reading Force – Northern Ireland Ambassador

Reading Force, the charity that strengthens and connects the military community through shared reading, is delighted to offer a new opportunity reflecting our continued growth and embedded presence across all parts of the Armed Forces community: serving, veterans, reservists, injured and military families, including those separated by relationship breakdown.

THE ROLE

This role will play a key part in delivering Reading Force across military communities, families, and partner organisations in Northern Ireland. You will support our outreach, help nurture meaningful connections with stakeholders, and contribute to the development of the charity as we continue to grow.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with Armed Forces families, welfare teams, schools, and community groups
  • Representing Reading Force at events, meetings, and presentations
  • Supporting and encouraging participation in Reading Force activities
  • Gathering feedback and insights to strengthen our impact
  • Contributing to reporting, evaluation, and awareness‑raising work

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Understands or has experience of the Armed Forces community
  • Is organised, self‑motivated, and confident working independently
  • Enjoys engaging with families, professionals, and partner organisations
  • Is passionate about stories, connection, and supporting wellbeing through shared reading
