We’re looking for people who are passionate about inclusion, community, and positive change. If this is you, we’d love you to join us as a Fighting With Pride volunteer.
As a Fighting With Pride volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Build meaningful connections
• Grow your confidence
• Engage with both the LGBTQ+ and military communities
You’ll become part of our mission to SUPPORT, CONNECT, and ADVOCATE for the LGBTQ+ Armed Forces community.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds — including LGBTQ+ community members, veterans, serving personnel, family members, and allies. We’re building a network of volunteers across the UK, and we’d love you to join us.
Our current volunteering roles are:
Local Events Volunteer
We are looking for friendly, engaging volunteers to support our Veteran Community Workers at local LGBTQ+ and military events across the UK.
As a Local Events Volunteer your role may include:
• Taking part in marches and parades
• Helping to set up and run information stalls
• Talking to the public about the work of Fighting With Pride
• Signposting people to our Veteran Community Workers or approved support agencies
This is a key role for someone who enjoys engaging with the public, representing a cause they care about, and being part of a welcoming, inclusive community.
Research Volunteer
Do you enjoy research or have knowledge of your local area? We are looking for people to work remotely as Research Volunteers to help us map opportunities and strengthen our support for LGBTQ+ veterans, serving personnel, and their families.
As a Research Volunteer your role may include:
• Researching local events, groups, and activities relevant to LGBTQ+ veterans and the Armed Forces community
• Identifying potential partner agencies
• Collecting local news stories relating to veterans and serving personnel.
• Supporting our Veteran Community Workers with up to date information
This flexible, home based opportunity is perfect for anyone who enjoys information gathering and community mapping.
Local Events Supporter
We are also looking for Local Events Supporters to strengthen our community presence at local events.
As a Local Events Supporter your role may include:
• Walking with Fighting With Pride in local marches and parades (e.g. Pride, Armed Forces Day)
• Being a friendly, visible representative of our organisation
• Helping create a welcoming, supportive atmosphere
