Any self-respecting petrolhead should be making tracks to London Scottish House on Thursday, March 26 for a unique event: The Greatest Car Company Debate.
The Greatest Car Company Debate – there is also an auction – will raise funds for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity as part of A Driving Force for SSAFA 2026 (ADF26).
ADF26 – taking place from August 1 to 11 – will see sixty cars each with a two-person team driving from Dunkirk to Bosnia and back with the goal of raising £100,000 for SSAFA, with sights set on a cumulative fundraising target of £1 million.
As part of their fundraising to support serving personnel and veterans, as well as their families, ADF26 team Alex and Harriet Wolfe have organised The Greatest Car Company Debate.
This unmissable evening brings together several of the UK’s most passionate automotive personalities, manufacturers, dealers, racing drivers, YouTubers, and more, and promises to be a classic duel, a grudge match like no other, taking the audience back sixty years to the heady days of Le Mans ‘66 and Ford v Ferrari.
The Ford aficionado is legendary motoring journalist and author of Fast Ford Jeremy Walton, whose career includes driving iconic vehicles from the marque such as Jim Clark’s Cortina, the Gulf GT40 from Le Mans, Timo Mäkinen’s rally Escorts, and even Princess Diana’s record-breaking £725,000 Escort RS Turbo.
Saying Forza Ferrari is devotee of the Prancing Horse James Martin of JayEmm on Cars, whose YouTube channel has reached 173 million viewers and whose personal passion includes investing in his three dream cars from Maranello.
Further speakers for Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Porsche, and McLaren will be announced soon, making this a true gathering of automotive greats.
Alex explained why he and Harriet are organising this fantastic event, saying: “We fundamentally want to support our veterans and their families. SSAFA does this all year round, therefore we want to put on an evening where everyone enjoys a night of fun, but we can also raise a huge amount for the charity, helping it to continue its great work.”

The Greatest Car Company Debate in support of SSAFA is on Thursday, March 26 at London Scottish House, 95 Horseferry Road, London SW1P 2DX. Doors open at 6.45pm for a 7pm sharp start, ending approximately 11pm. Hot food and a welcome drink will be provided. Attendees are invited to wear car colours.
