Following the successful dedication of the LGBT+ Armed Forces Community Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in October 2025, Fighting With Pride is delighted to announce a Community Dedication Event Saturday 20 June 2026.
This special gathering is for the wider LGBT+ Armed Forces family – veterans, serving personnel, and importantly, friends and families who were unable to attend the official ceremony. It will be a day of celebration, pride and community, with live music, a picnic atmosphere, a short ceremony at the memorial, contributions from veterans and serving personnel, representation from service and veterans’ charities.
We want this event to feel inclusive, joyful and affirming, giving everyone the chance to connect, reflect and celebrate the courage, service and dignity of the LGBT+ Armed Forces community.
If you have official guests, charities or organisations you feel should be invited, or military/association bands that could contribute to the event, please get in touch with our Memorial Officer, Roly Woods, at: memorialofficer@fightingwithpride.org.uk
Full details, including the confirmed timings and formal registration information, will be shared on the Fighting With Pride website and social media in the coming months.
At this stage we just need to ask for an expression of interest so we can have a good idea of numbers for planning purposes. In this form (Link from button below) you will be able to indicate the total number of guests including yourself and the family and friends you would like to bring to the event with you. Be advised, we may need to ask for a nominal charge per head for each of your additional guests. This is to be confirmed.
