National Army Museum – Conservator (Preventive and Display)   

The National Army Museum’s mission is to tell the story of Our Army and the people who have served in it; to inspire, engage and educate, though our World Class Museum and Collections. Through our galleries and innovative exhibitions and public programme, the public can explore what it’s like to be a soldier, why we fought in conflicts – past and present, and discover the impact the Army has had on our society.

The National Army Museum is recruiting two Conservators in the Collections Standards and Care team, to support our work in preserving and caring for our unrivalled collection, both on display and in storage. We are looking for individuals with a passion for our work and the ability to work as part of our highly experienced team.

£30,740pa plus benefits

Permanent Appointment, based in Stevenage)

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preventive care, environmental monitoring and conservation of items from the Museum’s collections across Museum sites. This includes ongoing collections care and storage, guided by conservation, professional ethics and national and international museum standards.

Please note that these roles are office/stores based and hybrid/offsite working is not available.
