Over 3,000 cyclists came together in June to take part in RAFA Rides, the RAF Association’s global cycling event.
Events took place at Kendrew Barracks, RAF Leeming, RAF Marham and RAF Brize Norton, bringing together people from all over the country through a shared purpose and passion.
Cyclists tackled a range of routes ranging between 12 and 100 miles, while RAFA Rides Your Way allowed cyclists to take part virtually from anywhere in the world throughout June.
Among the cyclists at the Kendrew Barracks event were former Leicester Tigers teammates Martin Johnson CBE, Matt Poole and Rory Underwood MBE, who is also an ex-RAF pilot.
Liam Clark-Brown, Associate Director of Group Marketing, Fundraising & Trading said
“It’s been fantastic to see so many cyclists take part in RAFA Rides 2026. Whether riding for the challenge, the camaraderie, or simply the joy of being on their bikes, every participant has made a real difference. We’re truly grateful to everyone who supported us this year, helping ensure we can continue supporting the RAF community.”
Since the first event in 2018, RAFA Rides has created a space where RAF personnel, veterans and supporters can come together to share the joy of cycling and the benefits of an active lifestyle.
