Veterans, reservists, Service leavers and military family members are invited to a three‑part webinar series showcasing accessible career routes across health and social care.
Taking place from 20 to 22 October, Pathways into Health and Social Care, hosted by the Forces Employment Charity, will connect the Armed Forces community with forces-friendly employers in the NHS, social care, and pharmaceutical and healthcare support sectors.
The event is part of the Op ASCEND government-funded programme that supports veterans and their families into employment.
During these free online sessions, attendees will explore clinical and non-clinical roles, discover how military skills transfer to civilian careers, and speak directly to organisations that value military experience.
Featured employers include Agin Care, East of England Ambulance Service, Cygnet Healthcare, GlaxoSmithKline, Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Public Service Delivery Scotland, and St John Ambulance. Additional organisations will join throughout the week.
Matt Bazeley, Chief Executive, Forces Employment Charity:
“The health and social care sector offers meaningful and highly transferable career opportunities for the Armed Forces community. Employers particularly value leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as the resilience and teamwork that veterans and their families bring.
“Our webinar series will empower attendees to take their next step towards building a fulfilling career in a sector where their skills will really make a difference.”
