The RAF Families Federation is excited to launch the “Understanding Neurodivergence Questionnaire” on behalf of the RAF People and Families Support Team.
This evaluation is being conducted to ensure that the lived experiences and perspectives of neurodivergent personnel are heard and understood.
While support exists across the RAF, there has not previously been a dedicated opportunity to capture the collective voice of neurodivergent serving personnel.
This questionnaire will provide valuable evidence to help shape future improvements and ensure support arrangements reflect the needs of those they are intended to serve.
This questionnaire is for RAF personnel, including both Regular and Reserve personnel.
The questionnaire will gather views and experiences from individuals who identify as neurodivergent, whether through formal diagnosis, self-identification, ongoing exploration or lived experience without formal diagnosis.
Findings will be used to help inform future policy, support provision and decision-making across the RAF.
There is currently limited evidence about the lived experiences of neurodivergent serving personnel across the RAF, making it difficult to fully understand needs, identify gaps, and inform future lines of support.
The Benefits of completing this questionnaire are
- Gives neurodivergent personnel a voice.
- Creates a stronger evidence base for future decision-making.
- Helps identify what support is working well and where improvements may be needed.
- Supports the development of more informed policies and services.
- Contributes to a more inclusive RAF environment.
The questionnaire is available from Monday 14 September and will run until Monday 12 October
This is a confidential and anonymous questionnaire and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete on Survey Monkey.
