Alabaré are a charity supporting vulnerable, homeless and marginalised people. We help them transform their lives, providing accommodation and helping them gain the skills, confidence and opportunities to live fulfilled lives.

Alabaré are looking for an Impact Evaluation & Reporting Officer. This post will support the Operations, Fundraising and Marketing departments to inform service delivery, good practice and support fundraising activities across the homes and services of Alabaré. The key role will be analysing and interpreting the data in the form of qualitative and quantitative, to measure the impact the services have of the clients to support the growth of the Charity and utilise information to effectively report to a variety of stakeholders. This position is either 30 or 37.5 hours per week with an expectation of travel within the geographical limits of Alabaré services.

  • Full time annual salary £30,868.50 rising to £34,066.50 after a probation period.
  • Contracted to work either 30 or 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, possible infrequent evening or weekend required to meet the needs of the service.

In return for this, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience of writing analytical reports, funding bids or other detailed document.
  • Excellent data analysis and visualisation skills including ability to convey complex and multi-source data to different audiences.
  • Strong analytical thinker and excellent data literacy (and attention to detail), combined with the ability to present insights in accessible and relevant ways.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including persuasion, diplomacy, networking and ability to represent the organisation effectively as well as negotiate with various stakeholders.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to create innovative and persuasive presentations and proposals to a range of audiences and media, tailored to each potential donor’s preferences.
  • Robust, confident ‘can do’ attitude that thrives on challenges and calm under pressure.
  • Experience of working in a fundraising environment and ability to negotiate in a busy environment with competing priorities.
  • An understanding of the charity sector.
  • Team working across organisation and ability to work independently and plan own workload and get going with projects on your own.
  • Willing to work unsocial hours when necessary.

To hold a full UK driving Licence and have access to a road worthy vehicle and business insurance.

Alabaré are committed to ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all our service users, this includes developing, implementing and maintaining effective recruitment policies and procedures to promote the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Before commencing employment, the HR Department undertakes pre-employment checks on all applicants who have been offered a job with the Charity. These checks include an Enhanced DBS, which will be renewed every 3 years, the right to live and work in the UK, as well as two satisfactory references.

All staff will be required to complete training on Safeguarding Adults and Young People within their first week of employment.
