Big business for military charity at Armed Forces Day event

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, attended the Armed Forces Day Event at JP Morgan Chase, in Bournemouth, to raise awareness of the charity and build bonds within industry.

The event was a great success, with two members of staff joining up on the day as long-term volunteers for the charity.

Fiona Ward, SSAFA Regional Volunteer Development Manager said:

“SSAFA was delighted to have recruited two new volunteers amongst the staff at JP Morgan Chase. Both were interested in the charity because of the positive impact SSAFA has within their local community.”

The event was held at JP Morgan’s Corporate Centre in Bournemouth.

Simon McNiell-Ritchie, SSAFA Regional Fundraising Officer said,

“In the present climate, businesses have an especially vital role to play in helping charities like SSAFA through the cost of living crisis, which tends to see a downturn in volunteering and donations. We are keen to work closely with businesses, large and small, to ensure that our Armed Forces and veterans get the help they need, when they need it.”
