Blind Veterans UK is looking for an inspirational individual to lead, motivate and inspire our wellbeing team to successfully deliver first class, bespoke visual impairment interventions.

Salary: £37,777 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Brighton/Rustington*
Closing Date: Closing date is 5pm on 21 June 2022

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some weekend working required

We are looking for an inspirational individual to lead, motivate and inspire our wellbeing team to successfully deliver first class, bespoke visual impairment interventions.

We have a new leadership structure, and we are looking for someone who is dynamic, has great enthusiasm and can cope in a fast-paced environment.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of multidisciplinary specialists responsible for the delivery of our high-quality wellbeing programmes, including activities, breaks and holidays
  • Providing leadership and development opportunities to ensure the safe delivery of holistic well-being programmes
  • Engaging with members, collaborating with colleagues, and keeping abreast of evidence-based practice to ensure services are innovative, modern, and creative

As our MDT Lead you will have a strong record of accomplishment of managing a Multidisciplinary team within a rehabilitation or clinical environment and hold a relevant national or professional qualification to degree level (BA/BSc) or equivalent qualifications.

You will be a skilled communicator, able to engage and influence at all levels using a range of strategies and solutions to problem solve and manage conflict and ambiguity successfully.

You will be a positive influencer, able to demonstrate confidence, motivation, and commitment. We expect high levels of integrity and behaviours consistent with our values and culture statement.

*Please note that this role is currently based in our Brighton Centre but will be based in our exciting new centre in Rustington (currently planned to be opened later this year). Applicants will need to be able to commute to Rustington once the move has taken place.
