Blind Veterans UK helps vision-impaired ex-Service men and women of every generation rebuild their lives after sight loss. Since 1915, we’ve provided rehabilitation, training, practical advice and emotional support to tens of thousands of blind veterans.
We’re looking for an experienced and highly organised PA to provide high quality, flexible, reliable and confidential support to the Director of Resources and Chief Scientific Officer (CSO).
Your role will include managing detailed diaries, organising meetings and appointments, making travel arrangements and preparing and presenting reports. You will also provide support with project management and events, working closing with other PAs in the Senior Management Team (SLT). The first point of contact for enquiries relating to the Director and CSO.
You will proactively ensure the day to day running of the office and be required to take minutes and follow up on meetings for the Senior Leadership Team, and other forums.
The ideal candidate will be confident, outgoing and professional, with a flexible and proactive approach. You’ll be skilled at managing and prioritising a varied and pressurised workload. A highly effective and professional communicator, you’ll have a natural ability to adapt your style to a variety of situations and people. An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and information management is also essential.
