Building Heroes is a charity dedicated to service leavers, veterans, and family members. The charity provides training and employment support into a new career in construction by equipping them with a broad range of trade skills and then connecting them with a network of employers.
The Building Heroes Foundation in Property Maintenance and Engineering Course is delivered in partnership with our national training partners. We are an expanding and dynamic charity with 12 training locations around the country enabling us to train over 1,000 veterans per year.

Throughout the programme we work with our applicants to identify an appropriate career path whether this be employment, self- employment or further training.
We wish to recruit several enthusiastic volunteers to join our team. We are seeking people who can work with us towards achieving our mission and ensure the charity provides as much support to those that have served us.
Ideally, we are keen to recruit members of the local community in and around the above training locations and who will also have skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
- military background
- networking and relationship building
- experience of employability skills
- administrative skills
- bring in new ways of reaching beneficiaries
- new ideas or contacts to help raise funds
We run 6 training courses per year at each centre. As a volunteer we would ideally like a commitment to devote the necessary time to coincide with our training dates. Training and branded workwear will be provided, and you will become part of a very hard working and loyal team.
