The Ministry of Defence and Right Management work together as the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) delivering comprehensive outplacement support to people leaving HM Forces.
This is a rewarding and challenging role where you can utilise your people management, problem solving, decision making and goal orientated skills and experience to full effect. As Centre Manager you will be a Career Consultant who is also responsible for the day to day management and delivery of transition services, leading a small team of dedicated staff in the Portsmouth Resettlement Centre and reporting to the Southern Regional Manager.
As a Career Consultant you will provide information and advice about career transition and development using guidance, coaching and advisory techniques to assist Service leavers to clarify and achieve their career goals. You will hold or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 4 in Advice & Guidance.
You will be able to facilitate workshops and effectively manage a caseload of clients, tracking their progress and maintaining accurate and up to date client records.
The successful candidate will have experience in a commercial environment including budgeting and cost management, and be a proactive brand ambassador for CTP, engaging with various stakeholders including the military, the third sector, and other support agencies.
