China Fleet Country Club, Cornwall, adds its support to Military Mate, a vital new resource for serving personnel, veterans and military families.
China Fleet Country Club, situated in Saltash, Cornwall, is proud to announce its appointment as an Associate Sponsor of Military Mate, a pioneering new resource for the UK forces community.
Developed by the UK Armed Forces Engagement Initiative, Military Mate is a smart, QR-enabled business card that connects members of the forces family with a comprehensive online directory covering recruitment and resettlement, housing, training, mental health support, legal guidance and forces discounts. At launch, 120,000 cards will be distributed at more than 50 events across the United Kingdom, reaching serving personnel, reservists, veterans, spouses, partners, families, cadets and forces supporters.
China Fleet Country Club has a longstanding connection with the armed forces community. Its name is steeped in naval heritage, drawing on the Club’s historic links with the Royal Navy and its proximity to HMNB Devonport, one of the UK’s largest naval bases. The Club is also home to the China Fleet Trust, a registered charity that provides rest, recuperation and recreational facilities for serving and retired military personnel and their families, ensuring that the Club remains a genuine haven for those who serve and have served.
As an Associate Sponsor, China Fleet Country Club will be featured within the Military Mate directory, giving the forces community a familiar, welcoming place to turn to for golf, leisure, wellness, fitness and short-break accommodation — whether that is a service leaver finding their feet, a veteran staying active, or a forces family simply taking a well-earned breath.
