‘Chris Lewis Walks the UK’ merchandise now available

After six long years, former Paratrooper Chris Lewis – walking the UK coastline for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity and raising hundreds of thousands of pounds in the process – is nearly at journey’s end. On July 29, he will complete his 17,000-mile walk at Llangennith Beach, where he stepped off from on August 1, 2017.

To mark this momentous occasion, SSAFA has created a range of memorabilia comprising a mug, coaster, and fridge magnet, with profits going to the UK’s oldest tri-service charity.

For anyone – and they number thousands – following Chris’s odyssey, which saw him isolated during a lockdown, but more happily, seeing Jet, Kate, and Magnus enter his life, these items will make an ideal keepsake.

The mug is £10.99, the coaster £3.49, and the fridge magnet £2.99. They are available as part of the “Chris Walks the UK” range available exclusively here

But what is the point of a mug with nothing in it? SSAFA stocks WWII-themed tea caddy with 40 Ceylon teabags (£9) or for a stronger caffeine kick there is Op WELFARE ground coffee from Contact Coffee Co. (£9 for a 227g pouch).

And if relaxing with a brew, then a good read seems in order, so why not choose Chris’s first book about his travels, Finding Hildasay? It, too, is available on the SSAFA Store, again with profits helping fund SSAFA’s work for serving personnel and veterans, reserves and regulars, and their families as it has since 1885.
