Location: Veteran Community Hub, Chesterfield (with outreach across Derbyshire)

Hours: 28 hours per week (over 4 days)

Salary: £21,112 (£27,898 FTE)

Lead and Coordinate Support

We are looking for a committed and organised Veteran Community Hub Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of the Hub. You will ensure services are well-coordinated and deliver high-quality support to the Armed Forces Community as part of the VALOUR programme.

 About the Role

You will oversee daily operations and provide coordination and leadership to Navigators and volunteers, ensuring a consistent and effective service.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily Hub delivery
  • Provide line management to Navigators
  • Support volunteer recruitment and coordination
  • Maintain high service quality
  • Strengthen partnerships
  • Monitor service delivery

 About You

  • Experience in a frontline/community setting
  • Experience coordinating staff or services
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Person-centred approach

 Additional Requirements

Full driving licence and access to a vehicle required. Occasional evening/weekend work may be required.

 Armed Forces Community Navigator

Location: Veteran Community Hub, Chesterfield (with outreach across Derbyshire)

Hours: 24 hours per week (over 4 days)

Salary: £16,960 (£26,147 FTE)

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Armed Forces Community Navigator to join our STAND TO service. This is a rewarding frontline role where you will act as a trusted first point of contact for veterans and their families, supporting them to access the services they need. As part of the VALOUR programme, you will contribute to a coordinated, multi-agency approach that ensures people receive the right support at the right time.

About the Role

You will deliver a “no wrong front door” service, providing person-centred support through triage, assessment, and onward referral. The role combines hub-based support with outreach activity across Derbyshire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact
  • Carry out person-centred assessments
  • Support individuals to make informed decisions
  • Facilitate referrals and warm handovers
  • Work with partners across the VALOUR network
  • Deliver outreach sessions and events
  • Maintain accurate records

About You

  • Experience in a frontline/community role
  • Ability to assess needs and prioritise
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confidence working with partners
  • IT competency including CRM and M365
  • Understanding of safeguarding
