Having worked with RE-ACT volunteers in various crisis response exercises, two FANYs were invited to join their intense pre international deployment course.
They spent 60 hrs living in the field, carrying all their kit in a 20kg rucksack, covering around 15-20km per day between activities and camping out at night.
Sam and Julie were impressed by the planning and preparation for the course and the realism of the experience. Though the course was challenging it was highly engaging and ideal preparation for a disaster response deployment.
