Former RAF helicopter pilot to hit the road for the RAF Association: Stu Stirrat (2)

On Friday 4 August, retired RAF Air Commodore Stu Stirrat will start a solo motorbike ride of 2,600 miles to visit the 60 branches and groups in the Northern RAFA Area and raise funds for the RAF Association.

Stu, a former RAF helicopter pilot and intelligence officer and President of the Scotland, Northern Ireland and Northern England Area of the Association, will depart from the Association’s Halifax & District Branch and head west to the Isle of Man, up the northwest coast of England and across to Northern Ireland.

He will then head to Western Scotland, the Isles of Lewis, Orkney and Shetland, then northeastern Scotland and down the east coast of Scotland and northeast England, finishing back in Halifax on 29 August.
