All that glitters… charity ball for disabled veterans

Following the success of last year’s event, Worthing-based charity, Care for Veterans, will be holding its third annual Glitter Ball on Saturday 24 November.

This year’s event is to be held at Fontwell Park Racecourse near Arundel and is an exciting way for the charity to raise vital funds for the veterans in its care, while also hosting a stylish soirée for guests.

Care for Veterans has been providing care and rehabilitation to disabled ex-Service personnel for almost 100 years, with centenary celebrations taking place next year. The charity specialises in caring for veterans with Acquired Brain Injury and provides services such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy.

Head of Fundraising, Elizabeth Baxter explains, “Care for Veterans receives no regular Government funding, so events like The Glitter Ball, which raise vital income, are so important to our charity. It is a great event and people have a lot of fun whilst supporting our nation’s heroes. Last year, we raised an incredible £14,000, so come and help us raise even more for our veterans this year!”

Tickets for the Glitter Ball cost £56 each and include a drinks reception, fabulous three course meal and half bottle of wine per person. Music will be provided courtesy of live band ‘The Alternatives’, who will be playing covers from the 60s through to the 80s; and there will be a magician performing amazing tricks, plus lots more! There’s even a coach that will take guests from Worthing/Goring/Angmering to Fontwell and back, free of charge!

The Glitter Ball is a perfect night out for family and friends, corporate hospitality or with work colleagues.

To book your tickets, call the Care for Veterans fundraising team on 01903 218444 or 01903 213458.
