The Job
You will be a member of our small Grounds Maintenance Team responsible for ensuring that all external areas, grass, hedges, trees etc. are maintained to a high standard, providing an excellent service for residents. You will also assist the Horticultural Services Manager and Grounds Maintenance Team Leader with matters relating to the Trusts various Estates, projects and health and safety compliance.
The Person
The successful candidate will be a knowledgeable and skilled horticulturalist who has experience of working in the grounds maintenance sector. They should have a Level 3 qualification in Horticulture or equivalent, experience in managing small teams and knowledge of Health and Safety at work requirements. They will join the Horticultural Services Manager and a small team to help establish and develop the Trusts communal and private grounds.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, diligent, with excellent time keeping. Possess strong practical skills and knowledge of grounds and property maintenance. Experience of using and maintaining a large variety of gardening/ maintenance tools and light/heavy machinery required. Chainsaw and Chemical application certificate a bonus and full clean driving license is essential.
