We have an incredible opportunity for a Legal and Data Protection Officer to join our Team.

About You
Are you a curious and highly motivated individual with proven experience in Data Protection, records management and the law in relation to contractual agreements? Do you have a thorough knowledge of data protection legislation, specifically GDPR, the DPA 2018 and PECR and are able to apply this knowledge practically? If you also, excel at communicating complex information in a simple and easily understandable manner, and enjoy building strong working relationships engaging positively with a variety of stakeholders then this is the role for you.
About the Role
You will be responsible for embedding and maintaining a privacy culture across all teams in Help for Heroes. In this role you will ensure that all policies are in place and adhered to providing regular reports to the Board and the Executive Team and liaising with the ICO on all data protection and privacy matters. You will be the go-to person for all Data Subject requests ensuring they are responded to as required and will support colleagues with the review of non-standard contractual terms and conditions advising on legal considerations, risks and solutions.
About the Team
You will be part of the Risk and Compliance Team working collaboratively across the entire organisation and with specialists from a variety of different disciplines all engaged in making positive impacts to the lives of our veterans.
