As a result of support from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, an opportunity has arisen at the Invictus Games Foundation for a new Invictus Community Liaison Officer. In line with the grant, the role is offered as a fixed term two year contract for 3.5 days per week. We aim to provide this as an opportunity to recruit from the Wounded, Injured and Sick community and all applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Invictus Games Foundation as the Invictus Community Liaison Officer. This is a key role in helping us to continue to build and maintain the Invictus community whilst promoting and facilitating opportunities to engage with activities that inspire, improve and influence recovery and onward rehabilitation.

Following the success of the Invictus Games in London 2014, the Invictus Games Foundation was established. The Foundation is the governing body of the Invictus Games overseeing their planning and delivery which are about to enter their fifth iteration in The Hague in May 2022 with 20 participating nations. But we are more than just the Games.

Our mission is to inspire, improve and influence the recovery and rehabilitation of the Wounded, Injured and Sick (“WIS”) service personnel through sport and adventurous challenge and we action this mission within these three defined pillars:

We use the Invictus Games, to inspire recovery and demonstrate the resilience of the Invictus community.

We improve lives through sports recovery and adventurous challenge and build an international active support network that continues to serve.

We share best practice and collaborate to influence research and knowledge around trauma recovery, rehabilitation and the power of sport.

We are seeking a diligent, efficient and enthusiastic Invictus Community Liaison Officer. You will support the building and maintenance of the Invictus community by directly interacting with WIS from around the world and assisting with their connectivity to the organisation and with each other. Through administrative processes and logistic support, you will help members of the Invictus Community to engage with activities and opportunities offered by the Invictus Games Foundation and its partners.

You will work closely with the Director of Grants and Programmes as well as the WIS Liaison Manager and Grants Manager. You will form part of an Executive Team that is driven, ambitious and entrepreneurial, and join a movement with purpose and power who share a belief in the power of sport to change lives.

Previous Invictus experience is not a requirement but a successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience of or an understanding of opportunities available to those undertaking a recovery journey.

Administrative experience is preferential but not necessary but the applicant must be able to show excellent organisational skills, be proficient in using Microsoft Office and the Google Suite as well as having good communication skills.
