Invitation – parliamentary event – Military Voting: Enhancing access to elections for the armed forces abroad.

WebRoots Democracy is hosting a panel discussion in Parliament on Tuesday 10th October to discuss the findings of their latest reportMilitary Voting: Enhancing access to elections for the armed forces abroad.

The report found that many British military personnel posted abroad face huge barriers to participating in the democratic process, despite risking their own lives to defend democracy itself.

The panel will feature speakers from the political, military, and online voting sectors. We hope for the audience to share their own experiences and leave with an understanding of the issues voters in the military face, as well as actionable ideas for how we can overcome these barriers in the future.

The event will take place on Tuesday 10th of October, 6.30pm – 7.30pm in Committee Room 17, House of Commons. It is free to attend, and tickets as well as further details can be found here.
