Jersey lunch raises £120,000 for the Army family

On 27 April, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity hosted a fundraising roast beef lunch in Jersey. The event takes place every two years and was held this year in Le Quesne Barracks, St Helier.

We are thrilled with the success of this year’s lunch, which raised an amazing £120,000 towards our work for the Army family and Rock2Recovery, a partner charity that provides specialist mental health coaching to military veterans and service personnel.

We are delighted that 290 guests attended the lunch, including some distinguished celebrities: Olympian decathlete, Daley Thompson; former world champion boxer, John Conteh; best-selling crime writer, Peter James; Jersey’s Lieutenant Governor, Jerry Kyd; and Chief Minister, Kristina Moore.

We are enormously grateful to the Jersey Field Squadron for hosting such a wonderful occasion in support of soldiers and veterans in need. We also thank the event corporate sponsors: Ravenscroft, Vantage Insurance, Ogier and Dunnell’s Wines.
