Left Right Left magazine Christmas Armed Forces appeal launched

Left Right Left, the new military memories supplement inside of resettlement magazine, Pathfinder International, has launched a festive campaign for relatives of loved ones away in the Armed Forces over the Christmas period, in which they can send in their messages of good will.

The campaign entitled “Jingle Comms – Festive messages for the Forces” will see Left Right Left ask for family members of serving troops to submit their messages of support for personnel away on operations or detachments over the festive period.

These messages will then be published inside the magazine both in print and digital, in time for their loved ones to read over the Christmas break.

The campaign has been supported by SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity who provide vital support to those currently serving, veterans and their families.

Justine Baynes, Director of Marketing and Communications, SSAFA, said: “SSAFA has been supporting the Armed Forces community and their families for over 130 years.  Our experience has shown that being apart from our loved ones on special occasions, such as Christmas can be incredibly hard for our brave service men and women.  We’re delighted to support Left Right Left in sending a message of love, friendship or goodwill to those deployed or on operations.”

Left Right Left Editor, Mal Robinson added: “I have been away on operations myself over the Christmas period and although you are trained to get on with the job, you wouldn’t be human if you didn’t miss being away from home and loved ones over the festive period. We just thought this was a nice gesture for families back home to show their support for troops overseas at this time.”

Left Right Left is distributed inside Pathfinder International to over 25,000 personnel across the globe and is also available to read for free online at the Pathfinder website www.pathfinderinternational.co.uk

For anyone wishing to submit their personal festive messages please email Mal at MRobinson@balticpublications.co.uk and State who the name of the person you are wishing to send a message to, their rank, where they are based and your message. Any photos will also be considered, but cannot be guaranteed to be included due to demand.

Submissions of personal messages can also be done online via the social media pages for Left Right Left, which can be found at https://www.facebook.com/leftrightleftmagazine/ and Twitter at @LRLmilitarymag
