Join us at Legasee in our mission to highlight the remarkable history of the Women’s Royal Army Corps (WRAC). We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Volunteer Social Media Manager to help us promote our Heritage Lottery project, shedding light on this often-overlooked chapter of British military history.

At Legasee, we’re dedicated to providing military enthusiasts, researchers, students, and teachers with unparalleled access to the first-hand accounts of veterans. Our high-definition video archive shares the personal recollections of individuals who have served their country, ensuring that their stories of sacrifice and bravery endure for future generations. Tasks and duties

  • Collaborating with our project team to identify and prioritise engaging content related to the WRAC project.
  • Developing a comprehensive social media content plan aimed at showcasing the WRAC project’s significance.
  • Establishing and managing new social media channels, including TikTok and Instagram, to expand our reach.
  • Taking ownership of content creation and distribution, ensuring it resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Monitoring and analysing the effectiveness of our social media efforts, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.

Desirable skills and knowledge

  • Keenness to add a successful social media campaign to your portfolio.
  • Great communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience of creating engaging content for a range of social media platforms.
  • Experience of using content publishing apps like Hootsuite or Buffer.
  • Interest in, knowledge of, or eagerness to learn about British history.
