We’re seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Volunteer Transcribers to help us produce written transcripts of audio recordings, ensuring that the stories of these courageous women are accessible to all.

Our high-definition video archive shares the personal recollections of individuals who have served their country, ensuring that their stories of sacrifice and bravery endure for future generations. Tasks and duties

  • Transcribing audio files accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborating with our project team to prioritise transcription tasks.
  • Ensuring written transcripts maintain the integrity and clarity of the original recordings.

Desirable skills and knowledge

  • Detail-oriented with excellent listening and typing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with transcription software or tools (preferred but not required).
  • Interest in, knowledge of, or eagerness to learn about British history.
