Give Us Time offers respite breaks to UK military-connected families, partnering with donors to provide them with the chance to spend time together and to reaffirm their family bonds and strengthen relationships.
The family unit is the rock that underpins military life and can often be overlooked. We provide armed forces families with time to rest, recover and restore relationships in a neutral environment. We prioritise the bereaved, those with mental or physical health issue, those who have experienced extended separation and those with financial difficulties.
From a personal point of view, I have worked within this sector since 2018 having not come from a military background. This community has welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like one of their own. Being able to offer something back and support this brilliant community is the least I can do. Smaller charities in the sector have been brilliant at working together to ensure we support the military community, which is, of course, all our aim.
Cobseo gives us the opportunity to network and meet new organisations. Thanks to the Cobseo AGM, we were able to connect with BFBS who ran some features about us. This led to new donations from veterans who have holidays homes and spread the word to families who may not have heard of us.
