We aim to accelerate research and explore innovations to prevent, reduce, reverse, cure or to help people to live well with blindness and vision impairments
We also research related conditions that either do or can affect veterans with visual impairments
We seek regional, national and international collaboration and partnerships with appropriate academic, research, scientific, charity, public sector and commercial organisations to accelerate and expand research and innovation, build on mutual strengths and to avoid duplication of effort and spending.
We have a team of qualified research scientists, operating under the supervision of our Chief Scientific Officer. All of our research is ethically approved and subsequently peer reviewed and widely published.

Change Step is a veteran to veteran peer mentoring and advice service. This service is for military veterans and others with post-traumatic stress disorder and a range of psychosocial problems who want to make positive changes to their lives.

Change Step offers effective support for veterans, their families and carers in Wales – enabling them to access vital support services and tackle serious stress and related issues.

Our team of peer mentors use their own experiences to help fellow veterans and their loved ones confront challenges in their lives and manage their journeys of recovery.
