Date: 8 December 2021

About this event

This wellbeing session with Paul Vicary will look at Stress and Anxiety with a focus on transition and setting up your own business.

The session will also be able to look at stress and anxiety levels, with a couple of short activities finishing with a Q&A

It is a not to be missed event for those that are wanting advice on looking after their mental wellbeing when setting up and running their own business’.

Paul has served over 35 years in the military, earning a meritorious medal for his discreet exemplary service. During his time in the military, he visited all the ‘nice places’ and has looked the enemy in the eye. He has been exposed to the extremes of the planet, where the environment was also the enemy, testing his own mental resilience and mental health. Paul has walked unsupported to both the Geographic North and South Poles, as well as safely guiding groups in the Himalayas to Everest Base Camp, helping people reach their own goals. He has learnt many relevant hard and soft skills to equip him for what is now his second career, running a successful business in mental health training and consultancy.

His business, X-Calibre Mental Health (XCMH) comprises of a small team of experienced professionals, who provide realistic bespoke training and consultancy. Their ethos is to ‘promote’ a positive MH culture, which can ‘protect’ the individual and organisation, and thus improve the overall performance, in which any business would yearn for. XCMH, are not like the usual training provider and cater in supporting the organisation and audience, enhanced by real life experiences and knowledge.

‘It’s what’s below the iceberg that matters….’

“When they say they live and breathe Mental Health, they really do. Their training is second to none. Powerful. Emotive. Very real in its delivery and messaging. We would highly recommend them to any organisation.”

This workshop is open to all from the military community.
