Military Wives Choirs – Director, Choirs Support Team

***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

London, full time, up to £50k

Are you an experienced senior manager in the charity or arts sector who loves what we do? Would you like to help us deliver our exciting new strategy and provide excellent support to women in the military community? If so, this role could be perfect for you.

The 73 Military Wives Choirs aim to improve the wellbeing of around 2,000 women in the military community through singing. The choirs are managed locally by committees, supported by the central Choirs Support Team and overseen by the Board of Trustees.  Following a strategic review last year, we are now focussed on the next phase of our development, which will see the Choirs Support Team grow the support and resources offered to choirs and reinvigorate public support for our choir network. We have a full team of four staff in place, a well-developed business plan and number of very exciting projects secured for 2017-18, so it’s a great time to join us.

We are looking for an experienced senior manager who has a passion for music and the military community. The ideal candidate will be a good people manager and have significant experience working with volunteers (ideally in a musical setting). You will be used to working with data to create reports and recommendations (both financial and non-financial) and have a good understanding of charity governance. Most of all, you will be a highly accomplished communicator with advanced skills in mentoring and coaching and a positive, proactive approach to leadership.

This is a permanent position based in the City of London.
