Navy Families Federation – Marketing & Communications Manager (Portsmouth)

The Naval Families Federation has a vacancy for a full-time fixed term position to cover a maternity leave period of up to a maximum of one year, located in Portsmouth.

Salary £22k per annum.

Here’s who we are: the Naval Families Federation exists to speak up for Naval Service families.  We represent their views and experiences to those who make the policies and decisions that affect them. We meet regularly with the Royal Navy’s Chain of Command, Government Ministers, Other Government Departments and other key stakeholders.  We also support appropriate and relevant research.

Here’s who we are looking for: someone with a passion for marketing who is educated to degree level in a relevant subject and/or CIM Level 3 Foundation Certificate or above, or comparable experience in the field of marketing and communications. Experience in a professional setting of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Survey Monkey and Mail Chimp is also fundamental to the role.   This opportunity will suit a candidate who is creative and possesses good understanding of current communication methods and media.

They will understand how to make content appealing and engaging for the Naval Service community.  The role demands an eye for detail and the ability to work to deadlines, with a focus on accurate and inviting messaging.  This is a key role within a small organisation where everyone’s contribution makes a difference, so the ideal applicant will feel comfortable working as a team member and agile enough to manage several work strands simultaneously.  If you fit the description and have a thirst for the role, we would love you to put your application forward.
