Officers Association Scotland Welfare Update

Scotland’s OA exists to provide support and relief to serving and retired officers and their families. We are delighted to announce that our enhanced welfare support is to continue with the provision of Bursary and Organisational grants to complement our annual and individual grants.

Financial challenges can happen to anyone, and we are here to provide tailored financial support to meet the needs of serving and retired officers and their families.  Sometimes that’s long term help and advice such as lifelong grants. Sometimes it’s short term help, to get people past the inevitable bumps in the road of life. Our grants are wide-ranging and cover areas such as home repairs or adaptations, replacement household goods and clothing. Do not hesitate to get in touch if you need support. Email GetHelp@poppyscotland.org.uk or call 0131 550 1557.

Bursary Award

Our Bursary Awards are designed to support officers who wish to enhance their learning in order to find that right career. This grant is designed to enable self-development, to achieve and progress in the desired career. It can be used for a specific training programme, Higher or Further Education. Applications are open all year round and are reviewed each quarter. Visit Bursary Award – Scotland’s Officers Association (oascotland.org.uk) to apply today.

Organisational Grants

We are delighted to be able to provide financial support to fantastic Veteran Charities across Scotland. We know how challenging the last year and a half has been, and we hope we can help make a difference for these charities. This year we are focusing on sustainability and so are delighted to offer multiple year funding to support core and or capital costs. Our applications will open on 1st July and close on 17 September. Visit Organisational Grants – Scotland’s Officers Association (oascotland.org.uk) for further details and how to apply.
