On Course to the Open – Finale at St Andrews

As the dust settles on our epic 1,453km journey from Royal St Georges, we are delighted to share the final leg with you.

We got to this stage over a period of 17 days, with over 50 wounded, injured and sick veterans from On Course Foundation visiting 66 golf clubs using six modes of non-motorised transport – walking, cycling, hand biking, running, kayaking and swimming.

For the final leg, beneficiaries Ian Bishop and Laura O’Neill were joined by European Ryder Cup star Tommy Fleetwood, walking the 17th and 18th hole on the Old Course at St Andrews before handing the 150th Open Championship flag over to the R&A.

We have raised almost £24,000 from the challenge and have received over 60 four-ball donations. We hope to raise a similar amount by auctioning them off over the coming months.

It was a memorable end to an incredible journey and you can watch by clicking on the video below. Thank you to everyone who made this challenge possible and well done to all involved.
