The Poppy Factory – Individual Giving and Legacy Fundraiser

***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

£28,000 – £30,000 per annum plus benefits
Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Richmond, Surrey

The Poppy Factory is the UKs leading employment charity providing specialist employment support to Veterans who are wounded, injured or sick.    This is an exciting period of expansion as we move into the next phase of our veterans’ employability strategy, launch a new model for service delivery and begin working towards our centenary in 2022.

Our fundraising team has achieved great success in trust and foundation fundraising, development of an events and corporate partnerships programme and increased the number of visitors touring our factory in Richmond on Thames.  The next objective is to grow sustainable, unrestricted income and to diversify our fundraising portfolio to ensure stability and security for the future.

We have created this new role to work with the Major Donor Fundraising Manager in development and implementation of a strategy to deliver unrestricted income from regular and one-off donors and which supports the development of a legacy fundraising strategy in the longer term.

You will have proven experience of individual giving and/or legacy fundraising, with demonstrable ability to transfer skills between the two areas; a track record of achieving income targets and recruiting and managing new donors.

A key area will be to develop compelling materials; case studies and fundraising “asks” which encourage visitors to the factory to become regular givers and engage at a wider level with the charity.  High quality written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal and networking skills are essential requirements for this post.

The post is full-time, 37.5 hours a week, based at The Poppy Factory in Richmond, Surrey.   Salary is in the range £28,000 to £30,000 per annum with excellent terms of employment.

Further particulars for the post can be downloaded from www.poppyfactory.org

Applications including CV and cover letter addressed to Liz George, Head of Fundraising should be sent to recruitment@poppyfactory.org by 5.30 pm, Monday, 20th March 2017.
