Salary: *£48,430-£50,980 (*) Starting salary
Hours of work: 37 ½ hours per week – Full time

The RAF Association (the Association) is a membership organisation and a registered charity that actively supports the RAF Family, both serving and former RAF personnel and their families, looking after their welfare and helping them in times of need.
The RAF Association are contracted by the RAF until March 2021 to represent the collective concerns of serving RAF personnel, including Reserves, and their families and enhance two way communication between the Families Federation service and those it supports. The Director is responsible for the overall management of this contract, to a contract specification and for providing leadership, management and development of the Federation, its profile and reputation within the RAF family.
The Director manages the contract in its entirety including its data collection, interpretation and engagement programme, leading and managing up to 10 employees and the RAFFF budget. They will develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external agencies and stakeholders, analyse and present data in reports and in person (including to Ministers, senior RAF, MOD and RAF officials).
The ideal candidate will have proven senior/executive level management experience, experience of managing contracts, the experience and natural authority to work with senior RAF/MOD personnel and a sound understanding of the RAF lifestyle and its impact on serving members and their families. They will have a high level of efficiency and accuracy in preparing reports and briefing material, be a confident, articulate presenter and able to develop creative engagement strategies.
A driving licence and access to own vehicle is required for this post.
