***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

Salary: *£20,235 to £21,300 (*starting salary) pro rata
Permanent
Hours of work: Part Time – 32 hours per week
Location: Wittering

The role of the RAF Families Federation (RAF FF) is to provide an independent voice for serving RAF personnel and their families, to capture evidence of their views and to report to senior RAF, MOD staffs and government ministers. It is a confidential service that relies upon the integrity and professionalism of its staff to deliver a Federation that is both credible and respected by all parties.

We are looking for an Evidence Assistant (EA) to work under the guidance of the Evidence Manager, for the day-to-day management of the Federation’s Evidence. In particular the EA will among other duties, receive and record issues fed in to the RAF FF from various media – the internet, telephone calls and personal contacts. The EA will also enter data into the databases accurately and in a timely manner and provide to the Evidence Manager monthly reports from the database detailing all issues worked on over the last 30 days, detailing action taken and outcomes achieved
The EA will act as a ‘first response’ to enquirers, whether contacted by e-mail or phone, either signposting onward to a relevant organisation or assisting in the resolution of the issue. The EA will support the Evidence Manager in the analysis of data, using various data-retrieval tools, to produce reports that can be used to brief all interested parties on the issues of concern to RAF personnel and their families.

The ideal candidate will have a detailed understanding of the RAF lifestyle, and its impact on serving members and their families. They will have excellent communication and IT skills, and will relish both the variety of challenges – and the support – that being in a small cohesive team can bring.

We offer an attractive benefits package including 10% employer pension contribution, 36 days of holiday per annum and excellent further development opportunities.
A clean driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.
