About the Military Co-working Network Project
Working in partnership with the Royal Air Forces Association, in April 2020 the Military Co-working Network received funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund to run an independently evaluated, 24-month pilot project across military bases in the UK and overseas. The aim of the pilot is to assess the impact of military co-working on military partners, and allow the Ministry of Defence and single Services to understand the potential benefits, and how future support should be taken forward.
You will be joining the project at an exciting time – we are recruiting now to ensure a step change in capacity to manage this work, and there is a small and passionate team looking forward to working with you. About the role
The Marketing and Membership lead is responsible for communicating the vision and benefits of military co-working to the partners of serving personnel, and steadily attracting members to our spaces. The military community is highly mobile which means there is a constant ‘churn’ within our members so we need to work hard to attract and retain members. We need to explain to our target audience what co-working is and communicate the benefits of joining our network to improve their daily working environment and professional lives. You will be keen to articulate the benefits to our audience, and have a range of innovative ways of doing this – starting with an overall strategy, and working right the way through our website offering and social media presence. Naturally curious, you will be keen to understand our member’s needs. This is an exciting role offering flexibility and knowing you will make a difference. This is a key role within the MCN Project Delivery Team. The Marketing and Membership Lead will work closely with all the other members of the team to deliver their objectives.
You will be a highly motivated, resourceful enthusiastic individual with experience in two or more of the following fields – brand marketing growth, content marketing, digital advertising, print advertising and design. Whilst a marketing degree is not an essential requirement for this role, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate up to date knowledge and experience in digital marketing strategies to attract and retain members through both external and internal marketing. You will be fluent in social media strategy along with identifying key customer and competitive insights to implement decisions in innovative and creative campaigns.
The role requires a UK driving licence as you will have the opportunity to visit the hubs occasionally to see the difference that your role makes to this exciting new project.
