About Us

The Royal Air Force Families Federation (RAFFF) exists to improve the quality of life for the RAF family around the world – at work or at home. We provide an independent voice for Serving personnel and their families and is a confidential service that relies upon the integrity, and professionalism of its staff to deliver a Federation that is both credible and respected by all parties

About the MCN Pilot Project

The Military Coworking Network (MCN) offers communal office spaces (Coworking hubs) on British military bases and a community which military partners can use to work or study outside the house, make friends, and support each other professionally.  The MCN is a non-commercial, member-led community group which was founded in 2016 by the partners of serving military personnel to find ways of negating the disadvantage the military lifestyle was having on their careers and make the military community a place where they were able to thrive professionally.

About the role

This role is an exciting opportunity to support the continued growth of the Military Coworking Network.  It offers a flexible and fascinating role for someone looking for a new challenge who has the right mix of marketing experience.  You will work with a small and passionate team to ensure that as many of our target audience (military partners) are aware of the project and want to engage with it. We need someone who thrives when working as part of a team – whilst it is likely that you may be home based, you will be liaising a lot!  You will be comfortable with exploring innovative approaches with social media and prepared to drive membership engagement through a variety of means – including avenues such as webinars and face to face training in our Hubs.  There are a range of other stakeholders working to support military partners, so it will be key to develop a good understanding of these other organisations and spot opportunities to partner with them so they can amplify our message.

The current incumbent of the post is preparing to move overseas but is happy to chat to interested applicants and support a handover: carolyn@militarycoworking.uk.   You can also chat to the Project Owner, Maria Lyle maria.lyle@raf-ff.org.uk

About you

You will have experience in brand marketing growth (content, design, digital and print advertising) along with up to date experience in digital marketing strategies, relevant marketing and Google analytics. With a natural flair to drive enthusiasm and build great relationships, you’ll be using your team building skills to go the extra mile to understand the needs of our partners and members and make connections on their behalf. The role requires occasion travel to our hubs so some flexibility in your working hours will be required.
