RBVE – Fitness Instructor

Salary: £14.42 per hour

Location: RBVE Community Centre, Aylesford (with occasional work across the village)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Fitness Instructor to join our team at the RBVE Community Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging fitness environment for our members and residents. This is a permanent part time role – 7 hours per week, with possible overtime to cover absences.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality gym inductions, providing proactive gym floor support, and leading small group exercise classes. You’ll also help maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, safety, and member experience across the fitness facilities.

Key Responsibilities

· Open and close the gym in line with procedures

· Deliver fitness testing and equipment inductions tailored to member needs

· Provide proactive gym floor support, ensuring safe and correct equipment use

· Lead small group classes, including across residential areas within the village

· Maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment and facilities, reporting any issues

· Support member engagement by conducting gym tours and assisting with enquiries

· Contribute to promotional and motivational events to encourage member retention

· Keep up to date with industry trends and commit to ongoing professional development

· Attend team and site meetings and support wider club operations as required

About You

You will be passionate about health and fitness, with a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service. You’ll enjoy working with a diverse community and be confident motivating others in a supportive and inclusive way.

Essential:

· Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification

· Good customer service skills

· Adaptable, motivational, and confident approach

· Ability to lead group classes

Desirable:

· Level 3 Personal Training qualification

· First Aid at Work

Additional Requirements:

· Willingness to complete training

· A friendly, caring, and approachable manner with a “can-do” attitude
