RFEA – Project Nova Coordinator Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire & Cambridgeshire

***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

  • Bedford, Bedfordshire
  • Contract, full-time
  • 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
  • £26,000 – £27,000 per annum

RFEA and Walking With the Wounded (WWTW) are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with knowledge of the Armed Forces and Ex-Services charity network, with the ability to understand the challenges more vulnerable veterans have to overcome, particularly those who have entered the Criminal Justice System. This person will work closely with the Police and Crime Commissioner’s office and the Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire custody suites. The role is initially 12 months fixed term with potential to extend beyond.

Project Nova is a support programme for Veterans identified in Police Custody; it is focussed on early intervention, support and diversion at point of arrest in order to prevent re-offending and a potential prison sentence. Project Nova is jointly delivered by RFEA and WWTW and working in partnership with NHS Liaison and Diversion Teams and the community.
