RNRMC – Engagement Officer

The RNRMC is looking to recruit a full time (35 hours per week) Engagement Officer to cover the South West of England and Wales area, working jointly supporting The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) and the Royal Naval Association (RNA).

Our Charities exist to provide a lifetime of support and comradeship to the men and women of the Royal Navy and their immediate families, wherever and whenever they are in need. We take great pride in being responsive and making a difference at a critical point in people’s lives and the RNA seeks to provide a sense of belonging and friendship with like-minded individuals.

We are looking for someone who will be able to maximise engagement with supporters of both charities both within and outside the Naval Service. This will include both supporting existing contacts and developing relationships with affiliated groups, the wider public and the corporate sector in the region. You will be responsible for creating and developing a network of supporters and volunteers to help with and run local fundraising events and support membership enquiries. The right applicant will not only be a strategic thinker, but also be an excellent communicator. You will be a competent administrator with proven customer service skills and be able to manage and deliver a wide regional remit.

Assisting with the day-to-day running of our Plymouth Hub located at HMS Drake as well as getting out and about, travelling within the region, provides an attractive and versatile opportunity.
